Work Zone Safety
It is imperative that everyone pay attention to the road while driving through work zones. We realize that a lot is going on and we understand that it can be distracting to motorists but we must ask that everyone be extra careful in order to avoid injury as well as damage to property. Below are some pictures of an accident that recently occurred. Luckily, no one was injured.
Despite cones, a driver ran into this lift and scraped the length of the passenter side of his car.
Although damage was sustained by the vehicle, very little damage was done to the equipment and better still, no workers were injured and the driver of the vehicle was not injured either.
Workers in the lift cage are generally suspended high off the ground so this could have truly been catastrophic. The lesson we want everyone to take from this minor mishap is to pay attention to the cones and change in traffic patterns and try to stay focused on the road.
