This "Viper" red 1933 all metal Ford Sedan is owned by Terry Holzbach from Amelia. This sharp hotrod is motivated by a 5.0 Mustang engine and has all the modern amenities including air conditioning, cruise control, electric windows, digital dash, tilt wheel, automatic overdrive transmission and 4 wheel disc brakes. The paint job was done by Page customs of Mineral in Goochland County. Terry says he owns 8 other cars, four of which are for sale but not this one!
Henry Hatcher from Powhatan took time out to pose next to his 1937 Ford Slant back Sedan. The car is powered by a Mustang 5.0 Cobra Engine and has a tweed custom upholstery, tilt wheel power steering, pwer disc brakes on the front and a digital dash. Mr. Hatcher was one of several drivers who is a member of Virginia Street Rods who were in attendance at the July 31st Cruise-in.
This is a rare Mopar! Owner Randy Whitmore from Kenbridge has had the car researched and found it to be one of only four1965 convertible Sport Furys produced with a convertible top and a 426 street wedge 4 barrel single carburetor motor that generates 365 horsepower and 480 foot pounds of torque at the rear wheels! This all metal sleek street cruiser has 4 speed manual transmission and a 3:23 ring and pinion rear end.
Tom Ashton drove down from Victoria in his 1965 Belvidere. The car is equipped with a 273 cubic inch engine and a 2 barrel carburetor.
Frederick Cooke from nearby Burkeville drove his 1969 Palladium silver GTO. This classic is powered by a 400 cubic inch engine which transmits power through a 400 turbo hydromatic transimission and 3:23 rear gears.
Glen Moore from Amelia stands next to his 1938 Chevy Coupe. Under the hood is a 350 cubic inch small block and it hooks to a 350 Turbo hydromatic transmission. Glen is a member of the Virginia Street rods auto club.
According to owner, Bill Gilliland, his 1987 El Camino was the last year this model was manufactured. His black beauty has a 305 V-* and an automatic transmission and air conditioning.
Local business owner Louis DeNitto of "The Classic Grill" sported his recently acquired V-10 Dodge Viper, one of 39 cars in his collection which ranges from classics to vintage antiques.
